Across the construction industry, the rate of nonfatal occupational injuries reported by private employers was 3.6 per 100 full-time workers in 2012. The rates varied slightly across sectors: construction of buildings (3.3), heavy and civil engineering construction (3.1), and specialty trade contractors (3.8).
