The guy who keeps our trains running on time, Greig came to ARCHITECT from Popular Mechanics, where he was deputy managing editor. Greig originally studied astronomy and physics at Cornell University, but switched to history and English. “I worried that research would involve sitting in a lab all day crunching numbers, instead of looking at the sky,” he says. “Ironically, as a managing editor, I sit in my office all day and work on text, budgets, and schedules.” For a change of pace, he plays fetch with his Chihuahua, named ohGr, aptly so if you’ve ever met him, and attends performances of his wife’s folk-industrial band.
