Former ARCHITECT executive editor and current contributor Amanda Kolson Hurley was awarded the AIA|DC Sarah Booth Conroy Prize for Journalism and Architectural Criticism which "rewards journalists and critics who write about the design of DC's urban environment" according to a press release on Wednesday. Hurley writes the Washington City Paper column "Concrete Details" and is a frequent CityLab contributor. She will also be awarded a $5,000 prize. Read more about her award here.
