Energy-Efficient Construction

  • The Energy Efficiency Challenge: Understanding New Codes and Standards

    1 LU AIA

The current U.S. energy consumption is not sustainable and the impact of our energy consumption is driving unprecedented changes in housing design and construction methods to reduce home energy use, create greater efficiencies, improve comfort and reduce monthly expenses for the homeowner. This course will take a closer look at residential energy use and how the changes in building codes and standards are driving improved energy performance in homes. We will take a look at new design and construction methods, materials, and systems that can be used to help reduce the energy requirements of homes and make them more efficient. Take the course.
