A marble vessel designed by Angelo Maniarotti, manufactured in Italy in 1968 for Knoll. Measurements: 8 in. diameter, 6.25 in. high.
All the inevitable midcentury modern icons are up for grabs at Wright's July 14 Mass Modern auction in Chicago: vintage Eames chairs, gently used Artichoke lamps, and Knoll loungers with the original, slightly icky upholstery. And, as usual, there are gems. This time around, a random selection of objects with near-Platonic forms caught my eye.
