The Modern Berlin Map, just released by Blue Crow Media, is an architectural guide to 20th century structures in the city. Selected by local journalist Matthew Tempest, the 50 buildings documented in the map include, the Olympic Stadium and Pool, the Soviet War Memorial, the TV Tower, and the historic Berlin Wall. “In visiting the buildings on the map, you can trace the Third Reich’s preference for neo-classical monuments, the Cold War-era planned housing of the sectioned-off East Berlin, and the optimism of the museums that sprung up, after the Wall came down,” Wired reports. The Berlin Map is the fifth addition to Blue Crow Media’s architectural guides which comprise, Brutalist Washington, Brutalist London, Constructivist Moscow, and Art Deco London.
