Gensler is joining the team working on the Comcast Innovation and Technology Center tower in Philadelphia. The firm will design interiors for the 1,121-foot-tall structure designed by London-based Foster + Partners, which will include offices for local television stations, a workspace for Comcast's engineers, technologists, and software architects, and space for tech startups. Daroff Design is the design architect for the tower's cafeteria. The tower also includes a Four Seasons hotel, which Gensler will not be designing.
Construction began on the $1.2 billion tower this summer, and it is expected to open in 2018.
