Committed altruists have a great opportunity to share the love in front of the whole world, thanks to Lauren Crahan and John Hartmann of Brooklyn, N.Y.–based design and fabrication studio Freecell. For 10 days starting on Feb. 10, groups of six volunteers, working in 15-minute shifts, will hold aloft a 10-foot diameter, metal-and-fabric heart in the middle of Times Square. Crahan and Hartmann’s design, titled Light Hearted, is the winner of a competition organized by the nonprofit Times Square Alliance. •
