For the past year or so, the artist 1010, based out of Hamburg, Germany, has been creating large murals along mundane urban walls that appear to be colorful, three-dimensional layers leading into a cavern. Back in the Stroke Art Fair in Berlin in 2013, he had a number of similar works, but they were done on canvas. Now, the street artist has graduated to full-fledged gallery walls and neglected façades. Previously, he would work gradients within one color scheme.
