According to new data from Indiana University’s National Survey of Student Engagement, students who study architecture in college work the longest hours outside of classes compared to any other majors. On average, architecture students are working 22.2 hours a week preparing for class, including studying, reading, writing, and doing homework. Students with engineering majors follow architects with around 20 hours a week and STEM majors with 18 hours. Comparatively, students studying public relations or criminal justice only spend 12 hours outside of class working, almost half of architecture students. Check out the full list of majors at The Tab.
