Today, New York University President Andrew Hamilton announced the university is investing $500 million into a high-tech expansion of their Tandon School of Engineering in downtown Brooklyn. The building will have an additional 500,000 square feet of space after they develop a former transit headquarters on Jay Street. “NYU’s expanded presence in downtown Brooklyn will lead to innovative solutions to real challenges facing the world’s urban centers,” Hamilton told New York Daily News. The expansion will nearly double the existing 600,000 square feet present and plans to open for the fall 2017 semester. Read the full article at NY Daily News
