Walter Alexander Hunt, FAIA, died late last month at the age of 74. Over his decades-long career at Gensler, Hunt held many positions at the firm, including Managing Director of the Northeast Region, a board member, and a member of the Management Committee. He also opened the firm's Denver office as well as the New York office with Margo Grant Walsh. Gensler notes on the firm's website: "Those who were lucky enough to know Walter would tell you, he was an extremely generous man, preferring always to give rather than receive. He devoted much of his time in retirement to pro bono consulting work that benefited the profession and the community. Walter made a difference in our lives and personally touched many, many people, inside and outside of the firm." Read the complete statement on Gensler's website.
