For our sister publication, 10 projects stuck out for readers most interested in the practice of architectural lighting. Projects varying from a library, a subway station thoroughfare, a museum plaza and façade, and a  holiday lighting display, among others, used illumination techniques in both artful and useful ways for visitors and readers to take notice.

While scale, scope, location, and lighting strategy all played different roles in these locations, "they are all constant in their attention to detail and fundamental use of light to transform space into an illuminated experience," according to Architectural Lighting's Editor-in-Chief Elizabeth Donoff.
