Washington Post staff writer Jonathan O’Connell reflects on the development of CityCenterDC, a mixed-use complex in downtown Washington, D.C. The development includes high-end retail like Louis Vuitton and Hermès as well as an outpost of chef David Chang's Momofuku, but, as O’Connell notes, it's missing foot traffic: "CityCenter has quickly become a piggy bank of tax revenue for the District. The swanky apartments, condos and office space upstairs command top prices. Yet for all the strategy and money that went into CityCenter, stroll through on a nice weeknight or a Saturday afternoon and something is missing." Read more at The Washington Post.
