Born in 1929, architect and former Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) president Michael Manser has died. He established his British firm, The Manser Practice, in the 1960s, and served as the president of RIBA from 1983 to 1985. Tony Chapman, who recently retired from his role as the RIBA Head of Awards, said in a RIBA press release: "The sad death of Michael Manser marks an end point in British modernism as applied to domestic architecture."
