Local firm CetraRuddy is partnering with the City College of New York in Manhattan for a new academic initiative called “CetraRuddy Design Studio in Housing: Exploring Modes of Living and the Meanings of Home.” Beginning this spring, students of the City College of New York’s Bernard and Anna Spitzer School of Architecture can create and publish new housing research in addition to studying urban residential solutions and advanced residential architecture through the five-semester course initiative. The courses will be supported and influenced by the design studio’s mission of sustainable urban housing. In addition to research, workshops, and lectures, students will have the opportunity to visit CetraRuddy’s office as well as the firm's project sites. The students will also have the option of participating in paid summer internships.
