Alessi SoHo Store Reopens

New counter and wall covering at the entrance to Alessi's Store on Greene St. in New York's SoHo neighborhood.

The store reopened after 2 months were spent on renovations designed by Hani Rashid of Long Island City, N.Y.-based Asymptote, as an update to Rashid's original 2006 design.

As part of the reopening, the store is hosting an exhibition "Metal Workshop: Cranbrook for Alessi," which showcases the fruits of a 2009 design workshop between the Bloomfield Hills, Mich.-based design school and the Italian manufacturer.
