Kundy Bridge - Bozeman, Montana With the help of the Gallatin Valley Land Trust, the Mountain Sky Guest Ranch, the Montana Outdoor Science School, Fish, Wildlife and Parks, and many others, this bridge and outdoor classroom provides a key link for pedestrian access to a new trail system, and acts as a focal point for education and recreation.Architect: Intrinsik Architecture

Blatz Bottle Apertures - Milwaukee, Wisconsin As part of a conversion of Milwaukee’s Blatz Brewery, one of the country’s oldest and now defunct breweries, into a mixed-use project, Johnsen Schmaling Architects designed bottle doors—pivoting apertures that separate the two-story entry lobby from an adjacent public lounge area. Counterbalanced Steel Stair - Bozeman, Montana This small footprint infill house called for a high economy of flexible space, inspiring a counterbalanced stair, which could be manually pulled down or pushed up as required with a minimum of physical effort. Architect: Intrinsik Architecture

Emel Residence - Palo Alto, California Construction of a new 660 sf. basement under this existing 830 sf. “Professorville” home made this a unique and challenging project. A 38 sf. addition at the rear of the existing first floor creates interior access for the new basement. The home is improved and expanded; with the value and life of the home extended well into the future. Architect: EASA Architecture

Dar Luz - Eindhoven, Netherlands Considering light as the main material and medium, this interactive installation engaged the audience in an aural and visual theater at GLOW 2008, “An International Forum of Light in Art and Architecture” in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Architect: LEAD Inc.

Dominey Pavalion - Decatur, Georgia This outdoor living area blurs boundaries between Minimalist Sculpture, Landscape and Architecture, using features like an outdoor fireplace. There are abstract references to southern vernacular precedents such as shotgun shacks and dogtrot houses. Architect: Lightroom, LLC

Mobile Chaplet - Fargo, North Dakota Mobile Chaplet is one of six portable spaces for reflection commissioned to travel to rural communities around the state of North Dakota as part of the Roberts Street Chaplet Project. Architect: Moorhead & Moorhead

Cup City - Austin, Texas Miles of Rent-A-Fence panels are used during the Austin City Limits festival to divide and control crowds. In Cup City, both purpose and panel are turned on end, attracting people and fostering interaction, as well as creating shade and quiet respite. Architect: Legge Lewis Legge

Public Bus Shelters - New Haven, Connecticut This project involved the construction of three new bus shelters at two sites in downtown New Haven, Connecticut. Swamp Hut - Newton, Massachusetts The Swamp Hut is designed to sit lightly upon the land. Four huts surround a central deck creating a protective enclosure. Each building component has distinct characteristics appropriate to its use. Architect: Moskow Linn Architects

Trail Restroom - Austin, Texas The Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail is a linear park of scenic trails and landscaping that provides residents and visitors with a rural escape in an urban setting.
