Project DescriptionThos. Moser is pleased to have been selected to provide its 100% American-designed, engineered and built furniture for the Hyatt Regency Louisville and its recently renovated restaurant, Sway. Kelly Gaddes, Senior Interior Designer at Cincinnati-based FRCH Design Worldwide, was responsible for the selection of Thos. Moser furniture for the project.
Thos. Moser was chosen for its ability to offer a custom solution driven by the furniture specification team, led by Maria Callaghan from Chicago-based Rosemont Project Management. This project began as a pricing inquiry for 12 Eastward Chairs for an executive dining room. Ensuing conversations with Thos. Moser regarding expertise in competitive design and manufacturing capacity led to Thos. Moser supplying furniture for the entire restaurant.
In order to remain competitive, Thos. Moser collaborated on a custom chair solution and that resulted in an original, contemporary design named the Square Chair. The 393-room luxury hotel recently completed a $5.3 million renovation and the completion of the Hyatt’s Sway restaurant was an integral part of Hyatt’s commitment to this vibrant city. Sway serves fresh, local, seasonal ingredients in a New South atmosphere.
The Thos. Moser Square Chair celebrates the quality and legacy of traditional Louisville while embracing the promise of a revitalized downtown. “I was very aware of the brand prior to this project,” said Maria Callahan, Rosemont Project Management’s Senior Project Manager. “In working with them, I found them to be very responsive. They had great customer service and in the end they delivered a high quality product on time and on budget.”
Thos. Moser also developed modified tables as well as metal base-mounted table tops. There are few sources that can provide metal table bases and well-finished wooden table tops and Moser took on that aspect of the project as well. The Cincinatti architectural team at FRCH Design Worldwide, led by Kelly Gaddes, collaborated with the Thos. Moser design team to create a collection of pieces that provide an intimate and genteel environment.
