Project DescriptionA renovation of an original 1950s home in the Trousdale Estates Neighborhood, the Pedram residence is notable for its loft-like interior and windows and doors that frame panoramic views of Los Angeles.
Building heights in Trousdale are limited to fourteen feet. For this project, half of the home was demolished and rebuilt, reaching the maximum interior ceiling height of twelve feet in the main living area. That loft-like space is offset by a lower, more intimate ceiling plan in the kitchen and den.
The living are is enclosed by two sliding glass walls that are twelve feet tall and twenty feet wide. These open to patios on both sides, creating an outdoor-indoor-outdoor flow.
