Last year telecommunication company Vigilant Global, owed by DRW Trading, announced controversial plans to build a 1050-foot tower in the countryside to provide “completely unobstructed” radio wave access between the U.K. and Europe. However local authorities are now arguing that this would have a negative impact on the local landscape and heritage of the area. This tower would likely be utilized for the growing high-frequency trading industry—which is constantly seeking new technology to complete trades at faster rates.

According to Business Insider, if constructed, this would be the sixth tallest structure in the U.K.
