A Look Inside the Canadian Pavilion

"Migrating Landscapes," curated by 5468796 Architecture and Jae-Sung Chon, looks at dwellings in an era of ever-increasing mobility.

The Canadian Pavilion at the 13th International Architecture Exhibition is showcasing “Migrating Landscapes.” Curated by Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada-based 5468796 Architecture and Jae-Sung Chon, the exhibition showcases models of dwellings created by young Canadian designers (selected through a national competition) that address the rising trend toward increased mobility in modern lifestyles. Each model is accompanied by a video created specifically, according to the curators, to “draw on cultural memories.” The exhibition, which raises questions of socio-political borders and cultural migration, will be on view until the biennale closes on Nov. 25.
