Total employment surpassed September 2017 levels by 173 percent, primarily due to large job gains in construction and professional and business services.
According to the survey, custom luxury homes are showing the strongest improvement among new construction sectors in Q2.
Overall, billings nationwide remained strong, as did billings in all sectors and most regions. The only weak spot was in signed design contracts which slipped below 50 for the first time in two years.
The unemployment rate remained steady at 3.9 percent last month.
This marks a nearly 25 percent decrease from last month, when 217,000 jobs were added.
