Philip Henderson
Philip Henderson is a Senior Financial Policy Specialist with the
Center for Market Innovation at the Natural Resources Defense Council.
Henderson works with market participants, utility programs, and
government on projects related to energy efficiency in buildings. His
work has focused on how to use financing tools to effectively enable
investments in energy efficiency. Henderson's work has also focused on
how new information technology can enable greater energy efficiency. He
recently published a report on real time energy management in commercial
office buildings.
Following law school, Henderson worked for a
Member of Congress, then was an associate with a law firm in Washington,
D.C. He joined LendingTree from 1999 as legal counsel and served on the
business strategy team. In 2006, Henderson became General Counsel for
Overture Technologies, a firm that creates loan underwriting systems and
allow MBS investors to access loan-level data. He earned a law degree
from the University of Virginia.
