Venesa Alicea-Chuqui

Venesa Alicea-Chuqui AIA, NOMA, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, an architect, educator and advocate, is principal of NYVARCH Architecture, a New York– and New Jersey–based collaborative Architectural Practice focused on building community and equity through design and an Equity in Action Presidential fellow at Kean University, School of Public Architecture at Michael Graves College in New Jersey. With over 15 years of experience designing multifamily sustainable affordable housing and civic projects, she’s committed to design justice, energy equity, and community resilience in the built environment and core organizer with Dark Matter U and Design as Protest.
