Riggs Skepnek has won the ZGF Architectural Scholarship of the Oregon Community Foundation, an annual $10,000 scholarship given by Zimmer Gunsul Frasca (ZGF) Architects in Portland, Ore. Skepnek, a student at the University of Pennsylvania, is pursuing a double master's degree in architecture and in landscape architecture and regional planning. She plans on interning with ZGF next year.

This year, the scholarship amount increased from $5,000 to $10,000 and was offered nationwide for the first time, attracting more than 35 applications. The six-year-old scholarship looks for talented and passionate architecture students enrolled in the fifth year or in a master's program of an accredited architectural program.
