Tonight INsite, a temporary public art exhibit by Luftwerk, will come to a close after being on exhibit for the past three days at the Farnsworth House in Plano, Ill. INsite turned Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s iconic glass-and-steel house, built in 1951 for Dr. Edith Farnsworth, into “a canvas for light and sound,” complemented by music from percussionist Owen Clayton Condon and curated by Steve Dietz, president and artistic director of Northern Lights.mn. Luftwerk, formed by Petra Bachmaier and Sean Gallero, creates speciality light and video installations to enhance the features of sculpture and architecture, which have also graced other notable sites such as Fallingwater, The Robie House, the Chicago Cultural Center, Marina Towers, and Millennium Park.
