It’s on! National Architecture Week (#archweek13), that is—a campaign for public awareness about architecture, put on by the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Combining live and virtual events, National Architecture Week’s focus is on “increasing attention to the role architects play as a force for positive change,” according to a statement from the AIA. Architects and architecture enthusiasts are encouraged to share their favorite buildings via Pinterest and Instagram, with a contest titled “Architecture is Awesome” awarding the top five Instagram posts. The AIA, for its part, will post videos and host events within a selection of local AIA chapters around the country, including lectures, films, and an architectural boat tour (at AIA New York). Through April 13. • aia.org/press/releases/AIAB098250
