A sculpture by Joan Miró, $65,000 in cash, and a presentation from Spain's crown prince: Not a bad haul for a 75th birthday.

Spanish architect Rafael Moneo, Hon. AIA, won Spain's prestigious Prince of Asturias arts award for 2011, the Associated Press reports. Moneo, who won the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 1996, took home the Prince of Asturias prize on his 75th birthday. According to the AP, the Prince of Asturias Foundation said that Moneo's work "enriched urban space with a serene and meticulously tidy architecture."

Moneo is one of the eight annual awardees to receive special recognition from the crown prince in areas such as human rights, arts and letters, science, and athletics.
