74. Neighborland
New Orleans and elsewhere
Candy Chang, Tee Parham, and Dan Parham developed Neighborland to allow people to share their ideas and insights for their city, support their neighbors’ ideas, and connect with people who share their interests. Informed by Chang’s “I Wish This Was”, the Neighborland website was created to provide the people of New Orleans with a platform to identify achievable goals and discuss how to accomplish them. Forums for 25 other cities have since been added to the site. Simple tactics like stickers, spray chalk, and physical signage bring people together o!ine and spark conversations in public space. The team’s goal is to help make cities more complete, compact, and connected. 74_neighborhoodland(600)
