Irick to Lead Realigned GE Lighting Sales Teams

GE Lighting has realigned its Lighting Solutions sales and applications teams and its North American professional sales teams into a single entity. It will be headed by Jamie Irick, who has to date lead GE Lighting Solutions, which included GE's LED and lighting fixtures businesses. As general manager for the new organization–North American Professional Solutions–Irick will be responsible for all sales related initiatives for GE Lighting's commercial and industrial product portfolio. Dan Jenkins will continue to lead GE Lighting's professional sales team, now a part of North American Professional Solutions. According to a press statement from GE Lighting President and CEO Mayrose Sylvester, "We are becoming more streamlined with a vision to evolve to where we ultimately have one organizational point of contact for our customers." Soraa Appoints New Executives

Solid-state lighting technology company Soraa has expanded its executive team with the appointments of Tom Caulfield as Chief Operating Officer and Ray Letasi as Vice President of Global Sales. Caulfield previously held executive positions at Ausra, Novellus Systems, and IBM. Letasi previously held senior management roles at EcoSense Lighting and Color Kinetics. More

Darin Fowler Joins Kreon

Darin Fowler has been appointed General Manager of North American operations for architectural lighting manufacturer Kreon. Fowler, who is based in New York City, will oversee sales, customer service, and marketing in the U.S. and Canada for the Belgium-based company. Fowler, who trained as a lighting designer, received his degree from Texas Christian University where he was taught by Fred Oberkircher, a past IES president. Fowler has worked for noted architectural lighting firms Schwinghammer Lighting, Johnson Light Studio, and Focus Lighting, and entertainment lighting manufacturer High End Systems. More
