Vancouver-based architect Bing Thom, AIA, enclosed both Weese buildings in a new structure, now known as the Mead Center for American Theater. (The Fichandler Stage is visible behind the glass at lower left.)
The architectural program called for the creation of a third theater, the Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle, visible to the right of the stairway.
