The Peace Bridge was named in commemoration of local residents in the military and other peacekeeping activities. The helical bridge spans 126 meters (413 feet) without any intermediate supports.
Measuring 6.2 meters between handrails, the Peace Bridge is twice the width of existing footbridges in the area and provides distinct pathways for pedestrians and bicyclists.
