Tomorrow, AIA and the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) will co-host an event, "Embracing Our Differences, Changing the World" at the District Architecture Center in Washington, D.C., to discuss equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Michelle Joan Wilkinson, curator at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, will moderate a panel featuring 2019 AIA president William Bates, FAIA, and 2019-2020 NOMA president Kimberly Dowdell, AIA, who will outline programs and initiatives that their respective organizations are pursuing to promote architecture a more "diverse and welcoming" profession, according to AIA's press release.
"Embracing Our Differences, Changing the World" will take place on Feb. 26 from 6-8 p.m. at the District Architecture Center.
