We cannot move forward until codes, standards, and rating programs better address the outcomes and actual performance of our buildings, says Mark Frankel, technical director of the New Buildings Institute. In his presentation for ECOHOME’s Vision 2020 Sustainability Summit in Washington, D.C., Frankel explores how codes are currently fostering high-performance building and how the rise of outcome-based codes can push us much further.
