Project Description
This 550,000 sf, 45-story apartment building provides 500 new residences for the Streeterville neighborhood of downtown Chicago. Located between East Grand Avenue and East Illinois Avenue, the 485-foot tower makes the most of its 41,000 sf site along the city’s major thoroughfare, North Lake Shore Drive. With expansive views of the skyline, Navy Pier and Lake Michigan, the building features modern amenities for sustainable urban living. 500 N. Lake Shore is designed to achieve a LEED Silver rating, housing a high performance building enclosure, a “living green wall,” efficient building systems, a green roof and lush ground-level landscaping of native species.
Additionally, the lavish complex features 2,500 sf of retail space and a 430-car parking garage. Comprehensive luxury amenities includes: a private gym, outdoor pool deck, cinema, dog run and pet spa, game lounge, reading lounge, coffee bar and business center, plus an expansive outdoor landscaped garden. The apartments include a mix of studios, convertibles and 1- and 2-bedroom layouts, each averaging 570 to 1,150 sf.
