Project Description
The future of the workplace and the evolution of retail intersect at Doctor Multimedia, a digital marketing firm that specializes in building and managing digital presence for healthcare providers. For their new space, the client expressed a clear vision — an environment that intertwines work, play, culture and community.
As companies are strategizing their return to the office, Doctor Multimedia positioned itself in a unique and well-suited real estate choice for their dynamic workforce—the open-air Westfield UTC Mall in La Jolla, CA. The office overlooks a bustling promenade, with a bold 50-foot storefront-style entrance leading to a dynamic hospitality lounge.
Top of mind for the design team was to create a high-energy environment that fosters meaningful collaboration, supports wellness and serves as a reflection of the Doctor Multimedia vision. The ambiance is created with bright colors, distinctive textures, connections to the outdoors, streaming music, large screen TVs, greenery and a 100-foot custom hand-painted mural. This workplace is alive and living larger than its 7,500 sf footprint.
Creating a fluidity between workplace and community, the Doctor Multimedia office enhances recruitment and retention by challenging the status quo, supporting neighboring businesses and reimagining the workplace experience in a post-pandemic world.
