Project Description
The Gallery at Turtle Creek is a mid-rise urban campus totaling 352 unit across two buildings in the core of the lovely and highly desirable Turtle Creek area of Dallas. While each building has an individual focus and design, the residents of each share many amenities between the two buildings offering an expanded sense of community. The Gallery at Turtle Creek, Building One is a seven-story mid-rise tower comprising 239 market rate for-rent units. With spectacular views to downtown, the project offers a sophisticated urban oasis within walking distance of the beautiful Katy Trail and all the nightlife and entertainment that Oak Lawn and the Uptown areas of Dallas have to offer. The design was conceived as a stage set for urban living, a platform upon which young urbanites could build their social lives. The target market isn’t fresh grads, more young professional who has achieved their first promotion and wants take a step up in what urban living has to afford. In addition to offering many standard amenities which these discerning tenants have come to expect (a business center, integrated and secured structured parking garage, a resort style pool terrace, fitness center, etc.) the front corner of the building is a stack of unique amenity spaces. Above the ground floor leasing, each of the programmatic elements plug in vertically and are framed with light at night to create a “lantern” effect. Signage here is purposefully downplayed as the building itself becomes the development’s marquis. Instead of a fitness component, there is a two story health and wellness center, and above that, an elegant roof top terrace comprising a performance kitchen with sliding glass wall that links interior and exterior with sculptural seating and spectacular views. Available for rent to any of the residents, it’s possible to have any number of amazing social gatherings here, cloaked in the urban skyline. The Gallery at Turtle Creek, Building Two is a six story mid-rise tower comprising 113 luxury high-end, for-rent units. The target resident is a more mature one, urban professionals and empty nesters who are no longer experimenting with urban living but hopelessly engaged with it. Units are larger, their floor plans different, and their finished are upgraded. While the residents have access to all the amenity spaces provided in Building One, here they might also lounge in the urbanely elegant Club Room. Modeled after the The Library, an eruditely social venue at the historic Melrose Hotel just blocks away, this amenity offers a distinctly more subtle retreat with multiple elegant seating areas and richly engaging bar area. Entering the building through the club room is like being in an old New York flat’s community room where you aren’t just another tenant in a room, but a member of a singular community.
