Project Description
This new 60,000-square-foot student housing project at Gallaudet University anchors one corner of the campus mall and accommodates 175 students in semi-suite style units. The design is more than simply a residence hall, as it is intended to establish a heightened integration of living and learning. Through the strategic implementation of the DeafSpace Guidelines, the design promotes both fluid and spontaneous interaction and collaboration amongst students, faculty, and staff as is essential to the academic culture of Gallaudet University.
