Project Description
Hosting activities from tie-breaking free throws, countless volleyball matches, and the daily grind of the lunchtime rush, the Maud High School gymnasium needed a fully multi-purpose surface. Regupol America was brought in to reinvent the space and revolutionize how the school floor could be used.
Years of demands from the Maud “Tigers” had put the 6,300 square foot, painted plywood floor in disrepair. With minimal cushioning and shock absorption underfoot, students were at a higher risk for developing injuries.
Today, the students enjoy a Regupol® Aktiv™ floor. Regupol Aktiv sports and fitness flooring provides maximum comfort and absorbs the shock of training impact, reducing the potential for stress and injury to athletes.
The new custom-colored floor meets the multi-purpose demands of students and recently took on a new role, as a dance floor for the students' prom.
When asked what he thinks about the durability of Regupol Aktiv, Superintendent JE "Woody" Pryor said, "We are very pleased with the performance of the floor.” At Maud High School, dancing shoes and Nikes alike have found a new stomping ground in Regupol Aktiv.
