This project appeared in the February 2020 issue of ARCHITECT, as part of our coverage of Washington University's East End Transformation.
The glazed and reflective stainless steel façade of the Kemper expansion and the all-glass north elevation of Weil Hall activate the southern edge of Tisch Park and contribute to the transformative transparency that the master plan sought to achieve.
Floor-to-ceiling slit windows admit some daylight into the new, 2,700-square-foot postwar and contemporary gallery in the Kemper museum. The museum houses one of the oldest teaching collections in the country.
