Project Description
The Moody Pedestrian Bridge will be a unique structure that will connect two buildings conforming the Moody College of Communication, University of Texas at Austin. The pedestrian bridge is characterized by a series of slender steel towers that vary in height and scale creating an elegant statement along one of the major avenues surrounding the campus. The overall length of the bridge is approximately 300’ with a high tower of 65’ located at a median location which will mark the bridge crossing from a distance and create a gateway for students and visitors. The pedestrian bridge compliments the architecture of the Bello Center, one of the recently completed buildings of the College of Communication. The bridge will be illuminated at night.
