Project Description
The Knight Management Center is the new home of Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. A vibrant learning community that encourages interaction and collaboration, the Knight Center is a cohesive complex of eight buildings organized around a series of outdoor gathering spaces.
The complex features underground parking for 870 cars, an indoor/outdoor dining hall, 600-person lecture hall, and an abundance of classrooms, offices and amenities. The project’s architecture captures the essence of Stanford and provides a physical framework for the GSB’s new curriculum that emphasizes small classroom size, interdisciplinary collaboration and experiential teaching methods.
Awarded LEED Platinum certification, the Knight Center incorporates a wide range of sustainability strategies including daylighting, efficient systems, thought material selection, solar energy production, and water conservation and reuse.
