Project Description
The client’s original request was to open the bathroom and brighten it up. She asked for wall-hung vanities and a wall-hung toilet to keep the room feeling larger and easier to clean. She also wanted to incorporate her love for Texas and wanted to include some décor that she already owned, such as wall art. This bathroom is a commonly used guest bath, so she wanted to “wow” her guests with funky finishes. A bi-swing glass enclosure was the perfect solution for this somewhat small space. By lowering the full height wall down to knee height (adjacent to the toilet), we were able to move light throughout the room and really brighten the space. The final result of this bathroom really captures the western, Texas feel. We used neutral colors throughout to give it that outdoorsy feel. A unique focal point of this room is the stone path on the floor. By using a floating toilet and vanity, we were able to have fun with a curvy path of stone throughout. The dark quarter-sawn oak cabinetry compliments the neutral tile in the shower. We used a funky, copper line for the plumbing fixtures; a line that resembles PVC piping for a very rustic look.
