Project Description
FROM THE ARCHITECTS:
For ThirdLove’s first experiential retail concept store, ALA reexamined every aspect of the bra-purchasing process—from choosing a style to dressing room functionality. The experience of the 2,000-square-foot space begins with a residential-style lounge in brand colors, natural wood accents, and an abstract, sculptural bra display. iPad kiosks loaded with a “fit questionnaire” are positioned by the window, while comfortable seating is placed throughout for one-on-one consultations. Just beyond, the 10 dressing rooms anchor the store. Each is crowned with a breast-shaped neon light that glows to indicate occupancy and changes color when an interior concierge button is pressed. Inside, two sconces and a pendant offer adjustable lighting that offers guests a more personalized experience with the product. A circular mirror highlights the torso only, while a foldout mirror can be swung open to reveal how a bra looks and fits on a guest’s back.
