ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING and ARCHITECT magazines are pleased to announce that the 2020 AL Light & Architecture Design Awards is open for entries. The annual program, now in its 17th year, honors outstanding and innovative projects in the field of architectural lighting design. Winning projects will be featured in the September 2020 print issue of ARCHITECT, in AL's and ARCHITECT's newsletters, and at architectmagazine.com and archlighting.com.

The AL Design Awards competition is open to architectural and lighting design professionals worldwide. Only projects completed after July 2018 are eligible for consideration. Entrants may submit their projects into one of four categories:

⬝ Interior lighting⬝ Exterior lighting
⬝ Whole building (same designer responsible for interior and exterior lighting scope of work)
⬝ Exhibition and temporary lighting installations

Entry Deadlines
⬝ Early bird: Friday, June 5, 2020
⬝ Regular entry (deadline extended): Friday, June 19, Wednesday, June 24, 2020

Registration Fees
Entrants who register their projects before the early bird deadline receive a discount on their registration fee. Entrants who submit multiple projects will pay a reduced fee after their first submission.

Jury
Entries will be judged by an esteemed panel of thought leaders in architectural and lighting design fields. The judging process is blind: All entry materials, namely the project abstract and support images, must be devoid of the designer's firm or individual name.
