London studio Pearson Lloyd has designed products for a wide range of markets, including retail, transportation, and public sector. It specializes in designing innovative and forward-thinking objects that can be mass produced, such as its 2003 design of airplane business class seats that can lie flat. In a collaboration with Coalesse, Pearson Lloyd designed the Lox stool and chair, which intend “to bring people together with minimal effort,” according to Coalesse. Both swiveling pieces feature a black or white acrylic shell and an upholstered seat; the chair back may also be upholstered. The stool can be adjusted to bar and café height. Lox will be available this October. • coalesse.com
