The U.S. Department of Energy’s 2015 Solar Decathlon showcased innovations in engineering, architecture, and energy-efficient systems from 14 teams of students. Although many of the systems were custom-built for the projects, several teams incorporated materials and techniques that any builder can implement now.
Teams featured in this segment include the University of California, Davis, Clemson University, the University at Buffalo – second place overall winners – and, Stevens Institute of Technology – first place overall winners.
