The 2015 Solar Decathlon team from Stevens Institute of Technology wanted their project to address the issue of coastal flooding after their personal experiences with the devastation from Hurricane Sandy. SURE House utilizes solar power and passive strategies while also designed to withstand flood waters and high-force winds.
