Princeton University announced today that Monica Ponce de Leon, AIA, will become the dean of the School of Architecture next January. Ponce de Leon is currently the dean of University of Michigan-Ann Arbor's Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, a position she has held since 2008. She also operates an eponymous studio, after founding the now-closed Office dA with Nader Tehrani in 1991.

Princeton announced in October that the architecture school's dean, Alejandro Zaera-Polo, had resigned. Zaera-Polo was named dean in 2012, filling the shoes of Stanley Allen, FAIA. Allen took the position of acting dean after Zaera-Polo's resignation.
